“An interested observer should be able to walk into the team space and get a general idea of how the project is going in fifteen seconds.” – Kent Beck
Make project information very visible in the team workspace. For example:
- Have a story wall
- Big charts can be used to track issues that require steady progress. For example, the project burn-up chart. When a chart is no longer useful, it can be removed.
- Display monitors can be used to make visible application monitoring metrics, status of the continuous-integration-build, application analytics and so on.
Include whiteboards in the workspace. This is useful for quickly sketching out ideas and illustrating concepts.
